Public ideas and private reflections have different boundaries. Here is what this version does, and what it cannot promise.
Your private vault
Reflection text and file contents are encrypted in your browser before upload to Supabase. Your vault passphrase is separate from your account password. It is not stored or sent to the server. If you lose it, we cannot recover your encrypted content.
Thinking on your device
Higher Mind runs a downloaded AI model in your browser. It uses up to ten recent decrypted messages as context. This is personal context, not model training. Reflections are not sent to an external AI API by this application. Model downloads contact external infrastructure.
What remains visible
Account email, optional profile details, user IDs, timestamps, message roles, encrypted sizes and original file sizes are not hidden by vault encryption. Hosting and storage providers also process connection metadata. Community submissions are plaintext, visible to their author and the owner, and to signed-in members once approved. Publications and publication attachments are public.
Important limits
This is a web application: a compromised device, browser extension or malicious future site update can access information while your vault is unlocked. Encryption does not remove that risk. You own your writing; no private data is used for shared-model training in this release. AI suggestions can be wrong and are not diagnoses.
Private membership is in a closed test phase. Before public registration opens, the operator must finalize the privacy notice with their contact address, legal basis, retention periods, processor details, transfer safeguards and rights-request process.
